breakthrough has yet again had an impact on the youth with an ongoing hunger and outpouring resulting.
The following week 3 friends of the young people gave their hearts to the Lord at youthgroup (and there wasn't even an altar call) and their have been others who have also made decisions in the following weeks. Also Daniel has seen the Lord start healing one persons sore shoulder in the time leading up to breakthrough at school and one young non believer got healed in front of the school canteen and was excited about what God had done. So we are excited about what God is doing and yet know there is more. We have done a couple of treasure hunts which has been exciting to see how the Lord has been leading inparticular the younger of our youth and opportunities to share with those people - an area which I believe will develop more in the day to day lives and also just by doing more specific treasure hunts. God is good and we are thankful for His anointing upon His body.
We were spoilt to have Ben & Owen come down last week and share on the word of knowledge and getting the youth involved. There again we saw the grace of God as a previous unbeliever who came along because of his girl friend got healed in his knees from a motorcycle accident the previous week was keen to write down his testimony in short form
Trent - "Knees healed - Playing in Aussie now (Rugby) and don't wear knee braces anymore.
Maddie - "Little sister Emma 10 years old was healed of back pain that has been there since Dec 07 - Was spasm muscles, now not spasms, used to hurt constantly - now doesn't hurt" My note: - Happened on Sunday morning service during ministry time. Maddie's father is a doctor and has been massaging her back for quite some time and is excited at what has happened and so far the pain has not been back - funny that aye! Quite a testimony to the rest of the family too.
These are just some of the things that have happened - Also there is now quite a strong prayer group meeting in the highschool with between about 35 to 45 young people meeting to pray once a week. Needs a bit of prayer so that it is not guided back to the old way of doing things by wary adult helpers - May they encounter God in a greater measure.
Thank you also to everyone up there for your input and effort we see all you guys putting into breakthrough. We really appreciate it and it has been a really valuable time for input into the life of our young people (and young at heart too !!). You all work together as a team really well.

since breakthrough 08 ...
since breakthrough 08 myself and my youth group have started a prayer group....
in our school BREAM BAY COLLEGE. we meet every tuesday in the school music room and last week we had a boy join in and he is now our new ignite youth band guitarist! (which we needed!) we are all getting real excited about building a place for god in our school.

More treasure hunt testimonies from Breakthrough 08...
I had a word about a man in a specific corner in BK who had been recently betrayed. Went to BK and started chatting with the man. He also had a problem with his ankle but didn't want prayer for that. We shared that Jesus wants to be part of his life and that Jesus will never betray him. You could see in in his eyes that he was blown away and was very grateful for me sharing with him - Ryan
I got a vivid picture of hearing aid and a lady in pink jumper. I saw a lady in pink jumper sitting in a cafe and went up to her and asked if she had any hearing problems. She said she has had ringing in her ear and after praying, it felt better. We then saw another lady walking past who had hearing aid. We asked if we could pray for her and after praying, she said it was much better and was super stunned and excited - Kimberley
Firstly we went to North Shore A&E and found a guy who has had a sore hip for at least 2 years. He wasn't able to get up properly and couldn't lift his legs. We laid hands on his hip and prayed and he felt much fitter and could do things he couldn't before. He then rang his wife who also had a sore hip and couldn't run. We prayed for her over the phone. We then prayed for his son (who brought his dad to A&E) and he got saved! - Brandon & Benji
Got word of knowledge about someone who had a stroke and brown shoes. We spotted an old lady with brown shoes. At this point I was pretty nervous but I knew it was her. I also had the number 12 on my mind. I started to explain what we were doing and told her that I had a word of knowledge about the brown shoes. I asked if she has had a stroke and she was like 'why?' and I said if you have I'd like to pray for you. She said that she had a stroke 12 years ago and that it was giving her dyslexia. We prayed for her which was just the coolest! She opened up to us about it so we prayed for clear vision and a clear mind because she said she can't read some things clearly. It was really awesome to see God move in such a weird way. It has really inspired me to do this at school and stuff - Esther

Testimony from Jan (kawakawa)
I have been deaf in my right ear since I was a baby (6 months) from the German measles. I got prayed for in the middle of the Food court Northshore Westfield. I WAS HEALED!! ALL GLORY TO JESUS! Now I can not stop playing games with the kids just to check out how good my hearing really is. I'm at another level with God that is unexplainable. Not sure if I can put up with double the doze of screaming from youth kids now that I can hear with 2 ears and not just one!

Breakthrough Treasure Hunt
I found a guy with a blue shirt and yellow writing from my list. He also had back pain which was on my list. I prayed and fire came on his back, he said he felt it and that his back was 'sweet'. God then told me he was into music and that he was a rapper, so I encouraged hiim with that word as well which he found amazing - Joel
Saw a guy at a bus stop, just got out of countdown. Talked about their testimonies, shared the gospel. Asked if we could lead him to salvation. He accepted Christ Jesus as Lord of his life!! - Michael, Clint, Jess
Went up to an Asian guy and asked if he would like to see a party trick. We had to write it down and then he typed it into his translator and once he understood he said ok. He had a calf injury, I placed a hand on it for a couple of seconds and it was healed - Beryi

Sharon's mum
my mum went to breakthrough and on june the 5th she was due for new hearing aids. Due to a mighty miracle she has had NO MORE dizzyness, headaches and ear pains .. and late that afternoon she had tube released from her left ear which had been in there for over 30 years. Doctors were going to operate in 1988 and the lord spoke to her heart (she could never figure out why) .......... the lord has said no.
30 years on ... she is now free ......................no head pains, due to id she had gone through with this operation is would of been one chace in ten my mum may have had not of lived ... it was only and inch of her brain ............... thanx from our wonderful god .......,, from sharon lammas

God healed a child of blindness in Nigeria!!
Hi Guys,
My brother Ben and friend Owen went to the conference (some of you might have heard Owen on the testimony time - speaking about the amazing things which happened at the Avondale Markets). They are currently in Nigeria and have had an awesome thing happen.
They were on their way to a church service (this week) and saw a child who was completely blind and very dirty and sick looking. They asked their group if they could stop and pray for him but due to being late for the service they couldn't. So instead of leaving him - they took him with them to the meeting. During the service Ben and Owen prayed for the kid while the rest of the service carried on. I am sure you know where this is going .... he was completely healed !
This has been considered such a significant miracle there has been serious attempts to get this broadcast on Nigerian national TV.Will give you an update when we here more.
Get out there - God is just waiting to back us up when we take a risk!
